| French Group Tarkett took control of the FADEMAC S.A. FADEMAC S.A. announces that the French Group Tarkett – the biggest world player in vinyl and sports flooring - took control of this company, which until now belonged to the Belgian Group Etex. The company's stock will be controlled by Tarkett, under the new trade name Tarkett FADEMAC. However, the corporate name and the current management will remain unaltered. Tarkett decided to acquire Fademac as it recognized the company's leadership in the national market and the fact that Brazil is the main gateway for operations in South America. With over 100 years in operation and 9,000 collaborators, Tarkett is the world leader in the production of vinyl floors, grossing € 2.1 billion a year and an approximate volume of 347 million square meters; and it is completely committed to issues of social and environmental responsability. The decision strengthens Fademac's growth strategy in the production and distribution of vinyl flooring through the incorporation of new technologies and new products in its portfolio, which makes it possible for wider scope, and greater agility and development of solutions for the national market. |
