May, 2012 - Scheduled to occur from August 20 to 24, 2012, Interplast - National Trade Fair and Congress of Plastics Technology Integration – has already exceeded by 9.5% the commercialization of areas compared to the same period in 2010. Held every two years in Expoville’s pavilions in Joinville / SC, it is Latin America’s most important fair in 2012 and corresponds to an important business channel for the Brazilian plastics industry. Besides national exhibitors, it has attracted companies from other countries such as Germany, Canada, China, USA and Taiwan.

In this year's edition, the big news is that the first EuroMold Brasil - International Trade Fair for Tool Manufacturers & Mold Builders, Design and Product Development will be held simultaneously. Made possible through a partnership between Messe Brasil and Germany's Demat, the event arrives in Brazil as an excellent way to increase Interplast exhibitors’ visibility.

Interplast is a reference for bringing together in one place theory and practice, presenting solutions and alternatives for the segment. At the fair, visitors can check out what is most modern in the technology of plastics and its raw material chain as well as compounds, pigments, peripherals, tools and machinery in general.

In its last edition in 2010, Interplast gathered 500 exhibitors and received 25,000 visitors from 19 countries and 23 Brazilian states, most of them executives and professionals from the segments of packaging, automotive/auto parts, construction and household appliances. Messe Brasil estimates that during the five-day fair and during the six months following the event, the volume of business exceeded R$ 400 million.

Also occurring in parallel with Interplast is Cintec 2012 Plastics - Congress of Technological Innovation, organized by the Educational Society of Santa Catarina (SOCIESC).
