Conair eyes Brazilian expansion

June, 11, 2013 - One of the largest global suppliers of auxiliary equipment for plastics processing, The Conair Group is evaluating its options for growth in Brazil, including the setup of a possible manufacturing operation in 2014, according to Bill Hricsina, managing director of the Conair Group for Latin America.

¨Conair is an international company with longtime operations in Europe, Asia and South America and has benn active in Brazil since the mid-1970s, since we have already had manufacturing facilities in the country for a certain period until market conditions and government regulations have forced us to stop our operations. Today, however, we see a great potential and the question is not "if" we will expand our participation in Brazil, but instead "how we are going to expand."

The users of Conair equipments are found in the automotive sector, appliance manufacturing, as well as in packaging, irrigation and commercial piping businesses. At the moment, businesses in Brazil are managed by Latin American headquarters in Mexico, but Conair has had sales staff and services in São Paulo for a long time.

The Conair Group (www.conairgroup.com) is a major global supplier of auxiliary equipment for plastics processors, including resin drying systems, blenders, feeders and material-conveying systems, temperature control equipment and granulators.

More than 450 individual products and solutions for extrusion include line control systems, as well as systems for recycling filmes and flash from pipe and profiles extrusion.
