“Interplast and EuroMold BRASIL have the ability to bring decision makers. This is one of the key differentials, because here are the largest and most important companies in the industry and the highest-ranking executives. I consider this fair the sector’s most important in Latin America, mainly for being based in a major center for plastic technology diffusion in Brazil. Therefore, it attracts professionals from every corner of Brazil and the world. Surely, the entrepreneur who seeks the best for his business attended this event", comments Gino Paulucci Junior, vice president of Abimaq (Brazilian Association of Machinery Manufacturers) and President of CSMAIP (Sectorial Chamber of Machinery and Accessories for the Plastic Industry).

Business Roundtable is a success and participants ask that the action continues

Promoted by BNS/SC (Santa Catarina Subcontracting Exchange), the Plastic Sector’s 1st Roundtable was considered a success by organizers as well as by entrepreneurs and suppliers who participated in the meetings. Some deals were closed during the roundtable itself, even with the short contact time among executives, and the expectation is that another R$ 2 million will be generated over the next 12 months.

“The meeting was very positive since it was able to meet the expectations of suppliers and anchor companies. The dynamism and productivity of the meetings greatly pleased participants who requested that this action continues in upcoming fairs. We were very pleased with the result and for being able to help facilitate contact among companies and suppliers", evaluates Rita de Cássia Amato, Commercial Analyst from BNS/SC.

In two days, 11 anchor companies (Krona, Taschibra, Docol, Plasticoville, Schulz, Kavo, Tigre, Brasil Mundi, Comil Silos e Secadores, Newtech and Santa Clara) got the chance to learn about products and services from 50 suppliers. There were 484 meetings and 203 participants. "Our intention was to capture new suppliers and learn about the innovations that other companies have to offer. Our goals were exceeded and we already have quotations and projects in progress with great potential to turn into business", anticipates Anderson dos Santos, engineering supervisor of Comil Silos e Secadores, from Cascavel (PR).

Ademiro Raduenz, Commercial representative from Fox Control in Jaraguá do Sul (SC), also approved the Business Roundtable initiative. "The first contact with large companies is always very difficult. The roundtable facilitated this access and allowed us to show other product options. We were able to make excellent contacts and now we’ll send quotations and fight to become their supplier", he emphasizes.

Sponsored by the Banco do Brasil and Krona Tubos e Conexões, the Roundtable had the partnership of Messe Brasil, Simpesc (Plastics Trade Association of Santa Catarina) and FIESC/IEL.

Some deals were closed during the Roundtable itself and the organization’s expectation is to generate approximately R$ 2 million in business over the next 12 months.

More than 9 tons recycled

Contribute to preserve the environment and help those in need. This was the goal of Interplast and EuroMold BRASIL fair organizers on assembling a Recycling Center attached to the events that occurred August 18-22 in Expoville in Joinville/SC. There were 9,157 kg of recyclable materials collected and separated by a family that sold the materials and received around U$ 1,100 to supplement their income. Altogether, there were 2,307 kg of cardboard, 450 kg of paper, 1,900 kg of soft plastic, 4,400 kg of hard plastic and 100 kg of aluminum.

The initiative makes possible to forward the materials to environmentally appropriate destinations, avoiding larger volumes in dumps and landfills or in inappropriate places for disposal.
