It holds 171 international patents. Thanks to Mowis, the supervision and management software entirely developed by Moretto, it is possible to manage the whole production process by connecting and controlling all the solutions. Moretto had a large and busy stand during PLAST 2026 in Milan, from June 9 to 12. Brazilianplastics.com had the opportunity to talk to Mr. Renato Moretto, founder and CEO of Moretto, and Mr. Mirco Panizzon, Sales Director, during the exhibition. The interview is below: - Brazilianplastics.com - What is your view of Plast 2026 so far? - Mr. Mirco Panizzon - PLAST is confirming its position as a key event for the industry, showing a positive trend in visitor numbers that stands out corporate-wise compared to other recent European exhibitions. While overall attendance across the fairgrounds is adjusting below the historical trend of the past, our booth has registered a highly satisfying performance, even exceeding our results from the previous Milan edition. The event has proven to be a solid platform for connecting with high-quality professionals. Although the exhibition maintains a strong domestic core, we have engaged with a remarkable share of international players, with a particularly interesting turnout from South America. This steady momentum allows us to look at the overall outcome of the exhibition with grounded optimism. - Brazilianplastics.com – Mr Moretto, can you tell us about the main launches of Moretto at PLAST 2026, mainly the Loadmatik conveying system that is at the core of your booth? - Mr. Renato Moretto - Loadmatik is the centerpiece of our stand. It is an intelligent conveying system capable of automatically managing plant operations. Its adaptive technology is set to redefine industry benchmarks for efficiency and performance. Loadmatik consists of three exclusive technologies. The smart server One Wire 6 Plus monitors and manages conveying parameters, while the innovative receiver X-Loader provides active support for the automatic detection of load values, recognising and adjusting system parameters in real time using integrated “Sentry+” technology. Last but not least, KruiseKontrol manages the granules speed eliminating the formation of angel hair and dust. Usually, when a feeding system is delivered, clients must manually tune variables such as cycle, suction, and cleaning times. However, industrial environments involve numerous dynamic factors—including material types, shapes, piping paths, and diameters—that may influence the system performance. Because constant manual re-tuning is impractical, many systems inevitably operate below their maximum potential. Our new Loadmatik system solves this problem by continuously and automatically self-tuning to maintain 100% peak performance. This innovation delivers a dual benefit: first, it ensures optimal transport parameters that preserve material integrity; second, it significantly reduces energy consumption during operation. Loadmatik is designed to prevent human error. We believe that the Loadmatik will revolutionize automated material loading. This groundbreaking technology is the main attraction of our stand at the exhibition."
- Brazilianplastics.com – Mr Panizzon, can you describe the other novelties you are presenting, such as the granulator Hyper Cut, the X Comb series dryers, the Delphy manual manifold, and last but not least the DGM Gravix mini blender? - Mr. Mirco Panizzon - In addition, we are presenting other novelties in different segments. We are showcasing the Hyper Cut grinder, reflecting Moretto’s significant and ongoing investments in the size reduction sector. Hyper Cut is the most powerful granulator in our product range. We are premiering our largest model here at Plast 2026, which features a cutting chamber measuring 840 by 500 millimetres. In addition, we are presenting other novelties in different segments. We are showcasing the Hyper Cut grinder, The system stands out for some key technical features:
As previously mentioned, another key innovation is the X Comb series that has been extended with four additional sizes, from 17 to 20 versions. They include some of the Moretto’s exclusivities, the OTX hopper technology, the Hyper Flow turbocompressors, and the honey-wheel system for process and regeneration in drying. These advancements guarantee a constant dew point and enhanced material treatment uniformity. Furthermore, this dryer features an exceptionally compact footprint of just 0.6 sqm. It is designed for stand-alone installation close to the injection moulding machine, minimizing floor space and delivering superior energy efficiency compared to market standards. In the drying segment we have additional novelties. We have a new compact, high-efficiency and reliable closed-loop material conveying and drying system. The CRX Mobilux mobile unit integrates stainless-steel Kasko receivers, a quiet high-performance suction unit, a smart filtration, and an intuitive control. This ensures a constant material flow with minimal maintenance. Designed for processors that are looking for plug-and-play installation, stable throughput, and Moretto-built quality in a streamlined conveying system. We are launching also our manual manifold Delphy with RFID control. It is designed for simplicity; it eliminates human error through manual connections that require just one hand and no tools. It features highly visible status LED lights: green for operating correct connection, red for incorrect connection, and blue for free outlets correctly closed. Moreover, Delphy enhances our distribution manifold with total modularity. This gives customers the flexibility to expand their systems as needed, securing a future-ready investment in their automatic sorting units. Next, we are presenting Gravix, our gravimetric batch blender series, featuring a new design for the hoppers, that improves material free-flow, while the central body allows for a larger mixer. As a result, the same gravimetric unit now delivers a significantly higher productivity. These are the main highlights among our novelties. Additionally, I would like to introduce our new Deduster, a highly intuitive, modular solution designed to prevent dust from entering the raw material feed before it reaches the receivers. It is a smart, highly effective system that delivers great value to our customers.
- Brazilianplastics.com – Mr Panizzon, How do you see the current market for plastics in light of the global instability in the oil market, high resin prices and the high energy costs? - Mr. Mirco Panizzon - The global market is facing a continuous instability over the past few years, so the current situation is not entirely new to us. However, we are undeniably feeling a significant impact due to the recent price increases following the recent geopolitics situation. We can see this impact primarily in project timelines, as some clients are currently more conservative and hesitant to commit to major investments. That being said, over the last few weeks I have noticed a definitive shift toward strategic optimism. Organizations understand that industry momentum must be sustained and perseverance maintained at all costs. Ultimately, we are gradually navigating our way back to normalcy within this volatile climate. What strikes me most is how quickly entrepreneurs are reacting. By nature, the Italian business mindset is incredibly dynamic; we are accustomed to managing instability and adjusting our strategies rapidly. We are always focused on how to respond and capture market opportunities. The current climate is significantly better than it was a few months ago. The atmosphere here at the exhibition is highly encouraging. Attendees are genuinely interested in investing and discovering our new solutions because they have concrete growth plans. The outlook is positive, even if we cannot compare it to the peak years of 2021 and 2022. For our company, the results are strong: we are continuing to grow compared to last year. We must maintain this momentum. - Brazilianplastics.com – Mr Moretto, do you think that recycling will gain traction again as a result of high resin prices? - Mr. Renato Moretto - In my view, recycling is a macro-trend that remains independent of virgin material prices. Admittedly, it is a hotter topic right now because raw material prices are rising, whereas a few months ago the recycling sector faced greater challenges due to lower market prices. Ultimately, sustainability is non-negotiable. We must become smarter and maximize our recycling efforts as much as possible. This is not merely a financial issue; it is a matter of social responsibility and collective behaviours. While the recent price hikes in raw materials have undoubtedly given the recycling market a boost—regardless of any ongoing market speculation—the fact remains that recycling is a vital part of our daily lives. We carry a profound responsibility, both in theory and in practice: our duty is to leave this world in a better state than we found it. That is why committing to recycling is essential. - Brazilianplastics.com - Does Moretto have plans for future expansion, particularly in the Americas? - Mr. Mirco Panizzon -
I would like to highlight that Moretto's very first branch in the Americas was established in Brazil, back in 1997. This demonstrates that our focus on the American continent has been a priority since day one. Furthermore, we launched Moretto de Mexico last year, while Moretto US has now been operating for over a decade, building a highly robust presence in the market. - Brazilianplastics.com - Do you anticipate more opportunities for plastics in the foreseeable future in light of more strict regulations and public perception about the use of plastics? - Mr. Renato Moretto - In my belief, halting the progress of the plastics sector is simply impossible. And it is impossible because plastic is not just a commodity; it is a vital, life-saving material that protects and sustains millions of lives every single day. The scale and influence of this industry are too vast, and its integration into modern society is too deep to be replaced. Consider modern transportation: the aerospace industry relies heavily on advanced plastic composites; quite literally, aircraft cannot fly without them. The automotive sector depends on polymers to reduce vehicle weight, improve fuel efficiency, and ensure passenger safety. But where the necessity of plastic becomes undeniable is in the medical field. This is a critical, high-stakes sector. Without high-performance plastics, modern healthcare would face severe, catastrophic challenges. From sterile surgical tools to life-support systems, polymers are irreplaceable. Rather than fighting a losing battle against its use, we must embrace the plastics sector, recognize its magnificent value, and focus our energy on making it fully circular and sustainable. Plastic does not just drive technology—it actively saves lives every single day. - Mr. Mirco Panizzon - If our life is better, it also thanks to plastics material. - Mr. Renato Moretto - Ultimately, the issue is not the material itself, but how humanity manages it. Plastic is an extraordinary, fantastic material; the real challenge lies with human behaviours. This is why education is paramount. We cannot separate the future of our industry from the absolute necessity of sustainability. Embracing sustainability is not optional—it is a foundational requirement because our lives and the future of our planet depend on it. My passion for this material is deep-seated and undeniable. But true passion for plastic today means taking full responsibility for its lifecycle, educating communities, and ensuring that this magnificent material is used wisely, recycled properly, and preserved for generations to come.
