Bausano celebrates 80 years at PLAST 2026 in Milan
June, 3, 2026 - Bausano will celebrate and showcase 80 years of continuous innovation by participating in the three major European trade fairs dedicated to the plastics industry in June: France Innovation Plasturgie (FIP), scheduled at Eurexpo in Lyon from June 2nd to 5th, Equiplast, at the Gran Via exhibition center in Barcelona on the same dates, and Plast at Rho Fiera Milano, from June 9th to 12th. "Over 80 years, Bausano has built its success on its ability to leverage the expertise it has developed over time, transforming it into a strategic lever for anticipating market developments. This approach today translates into increasingly efficient, digital solutions focused on customer business continuity," says Clemente Bausano, CEO, who concludes: "The company will celebrate this milestone at Plast with an exclusive signature party at its stand, turning its presence at the trade fair into an opportunity to engage and share with customers and partners." The simultaneous presence at three international events demonstrates Bausano's ability to keep an strong presence in Europe and its commitment to promoting a smarter, more connected, and more sustainable industrial model. At Plast (Hall 13 E/F, booth 33-34), Bausano is exhibiting a highly customized pipe production line that combines the E-GO 45/37 single-screw extruder with an E-GO 45/30 co-extruder in an A/B/A layout configuration for processing multilayer HDPE pipes. The very compact line architecture also includes a PO 3 63 multi-layer head with a screen changer, connected to the co-extruder via an adapter equipped with a manifold for the distribution and adjustment of the pipe's inner and outer layers. The extruders are complemented by an HMI interface and a gravimetric dosing system with weight/meter control. Designed for the production of pipe diameters from 16 to 63 mm (external diameter), the extrusion head features melt distribution divided into three spiral distributors, with high-flow channels for even distribution of the three layers along the entire pipe wall. This allows for superior flexibility, with different material ratios in the 5/90/5 and 33/33/33 variants. The highlight of the show at Plast will be SPHERA, with which Bausano demonstrates its ability to offer advanced integration of artificial intelligence in plastic pipe extrusion processes. The digital ecosystem, marking the advent of a new production paradigm, is composed of two complementary native modules, Pharos and Ranger, presented for the first time in Italy at Plast but already operational in many field installations. The Pharos IIoT architecture continuously acquires and processes data from both the process and machine: from temperatures to pressures, from rotation speeds to energy consumption, up to operating states and mechanical indicators. While Ranger, an advanced AI platform, interprets this information in real time and based on actual operating conditions, integrating it with machine history, technical manuals, Bausano procedures, and customer-specific documentation. Bausano says the platform is enhanced with new features: the advanced parameter monitoring with an AI assistant, available on demand, evolves towards full interoperability between systems, with proactive operational recommendations via HMI, enabling dynamic interaction with artificial intelligence. By combining Generative and Agentic AI models, Ranger is now able to autonomously read data generated by Pharos and acting in advance with corrective guidance to prevent deviations and optimize performance. At the same time, sensors enable predictive maintenance logic, reducing machine downtime and improving overall system reliability. "Bausano also transforms its history into an active element of innovation, reinterpreting its industrial origins in light of the most advanced technologies," comments Clemente Bausano, CEO. "The roots of 1946 are given new life through a video created with AI, which pays tribute to the founder and revitalizes historical footage: a visual narrative in which tradition and cutting-edge innovation coexist and mutually reinforce each other."
