Negri Bossi at PLAST 2026: injection moulding solutions for food, cosmetics and medical applications.
May, 29, 2026 - Technological innovation, productivity and sustainability are at the core of Negri Bossi’s participation, together with its parent company Nissei Plastic and the automation specialist Sytrama, at PLAST 2026, taking place at Fiera Milano Rho (Milan, Italy) from June 9 to 12, 2026, a key event for the plastics and rubber industry. At stand 24 D122/132, the Group will showcase three injection moulding machines, combined with robotic solutions and fully integrated applications, designed to meet the requirements of the smart factory, while reducing environmental impact and optimizing moulding processes. PLAST 2026 will be the ideal opportunity to present three live application demonstrations focused on high‑value, stable and strategic markets: food packaging, cosmetics and medical. Food – High‑efficiency LSR moulding The fully electric NOVA5e110T‑H1540 (1080 kN) injection moulding machine will be on display, equipped with a Sytrama S8 robot and dedicated to liquid silicone rubber (LSR) moulding. Cosmetics – Aesthetic quality and recycled materials For the cosmetics sector, the spotlight will be on the NOVA CANBIO110T‑H320 (1080 kN), a 110‑ton servo‑hydraulic injection moulding machine featuring N‑SAPLI technology and the innovative NISSEI X‑Pump hybrid system, ensuring outstanding energy efficiency, process stability and superior surface quality. During the exhibition, a thick‑wall transparent PETG component will be moulded using a mould manufactured by VIFRA, a plastic moulding company with 40 years’ experience in the sector, based in Piedmont. The solution enables the production of bubble‑free, inclusion‑free parts, delivering perfect transparency and outstanding surface quality. Medical – Precision and process control Completing the exhibit range will be the fully electric Nova5e80T H170 (784 kN) injection moulding machine, equipped with a Petek laminar flow hood, specifically designed for high precision medical moulding. The machine will produce a 5 ml. Syringe Barrel with a mould made by Ghilardi Stampi, featuring a new injection system specifically designed to optimize flow balance and uniform wall thickness. The application highlights cycle repeatability, reliability and cleanliness, key requirements for the medical industry. Automation – Stand‑alone Sytrama robot for stack mould applications Also, on display will be a stand‑alone automation cell featuring the Sytrama S9‑2S robot, a high value‑added solution further expanding Sytrama’s automation portfolio. Designed for stack mould applications, the S9‑2S robot is capable of handling complex mould configurations with different types of sectors, offering operational flexibility, increased productivity and seamless integration with modern high‑efficiency moulding processes. The stand will also feature conveyor belts (MB Conveyors and Virginio Nastri) and Piovan dehumidification and dosing solutions. Innovo will also be present to showcase comprehensive hardware and software solutions designed for plastic moulding companies. Their products are designed to improve the performance of manufacturing companies, helping them to organise their internal processes and supporting them in identifying weaknesses and areas for improvement within their production operations.
