The company designs and manufactures Blown Film Extrusion lines for the production of single layer and multi-layer films for technical packaging, with applications in the food and medical-pharmaceutical industries, as well as agrifilm, high-thickness biodegradable film for geomembranes used in civil and industrial waterproofing systems.
Bandera also manufactures flat die extrusion lines dedicated to the production of rigid windable films and high thickness sheets respectively for thermoformed packaging and converting sectors and for other various industrial applications.
In the Recycling segment, Bandera provides a machinery range with technologies dedicated to post-industrial and post-consumer recycling of polyolefins, recycling of PET and the ennobling of recycled materials both in terms of VOC extraction and decontamination of food packaging.
A group of 25 journalists from 13 different countries visited Bandera´s headquarters near Milan, Italy during the Plast Press Tour 2026, an event organized by Promaplast srl. At the event, press representatives were briefed on the novelties that the company will present at Plast 2026. The group also took part in a tour across the company production facilities and could get in contact with the machines, equipments and services which will be shown at the exhibition.
Visitors were welcomed by Mr. Massimo Santini (photo, above), Sales Director of Bandera, who presented an overview of the company. According to Mr. Santini, the company has two production plants and expanded in 2019 with a new area for wet trials and a 35-meter-high building capable of housing large blown film lines. The company also has a 6,000 m2 center for R&D and production testing. The Extrusion Academy is another highlight of Bandera, comprising advanced laboratories with small-scale lines to study materials and processes together with customers. The company has 38 CNC machines with CAD/CAM systems in a 8,000 m2 facility with 42 skilled professionals, having invested 20 million euros over the last five years.
Service Program
In addition to the production facilities, Mr. Santini also described Bandera´s service program which encompasses Remote Support via Bandera supervision system, maintenance services (including Die Head cleaning), Field Service as well as Training for advanced process optimization.

According to the company, it moves from estimation to absolute verification of possible defects, generating a Digital Quality Certificate for every single reel produced that guarantees that the product leaving the factory is flawlessly inspected.
Corporate Brain
The company says it is digitizing its accumulated expertise into a so called "Corporate Brain". The RAG Integration feeds the system with Service History, incorporating decades of historical service data, assistance reports, and past troubleshooting records into the knowledge base. Comprehensive machine logs, operational manuals, and precise technical documentation is also integrated to guide automated reasoning. In addition to that, extensive archives of comercial and technical e-mails containing unique engineering solutions and client interactions are fed to the system.
The enriched "Corporate Brain" can help in staff training by providing new employees with access to senior engineers´ experience. The AI acts as a mentor, accelerating onboarding and internal education. Also, the R&D team can instantly retrieves past solutions for new engineering challenges, accelerating the pace of technological advancements.
