Plast 2029 in Milan: new dates announced
The 21st edition of the international exhibition for the plastics and rubber industries will be held from 15 to 18 May 2029 at Fiera Milano, Rho October, 16, 2026 – Promaplast has announced the dates of the next edition of Plast, Europe's leading trade fair of the year for the plastics and rubber industries. The 21st edition will take place from 15 to 18 May 2029 at the Fiera Milano exhibition centre in Rho. Its return to a spring slot in the international exhibition calendar will give exhibitors and visitors an ideal moment to plan investments and showcase the sector's latest technological innovations, from processing machinery to next-generation raw materials. Building on the success of Plast 2026 Plast 2029 builds on the legacy of an edition that exceeded cautious pre-show forecasts, against a geopolitical and macroeconomic backdrop marked by considerable uncertainty. Plast 2026 recorded 35,000 attendances, with foreign visitors from 110 countries accounting for 25% of the total, and more than 1,000 exhibitors, 44% of them international, across 40,000 square metres of exhibition space. Over 350 selected foreign delegates took part in the incoming programme organised with Agenzia ICE – Italian Trade & Investment Agency, while the conference programme was fully booked on several occasions. "By announcing the dates of Plast 2029 now, we want to give exhibitors and visitors a clear horizon on which to build their participation. The return to May is a sign of continuity that the market has been asking for, and we are already working to make the next edition even richer in content, more international and closer to the needs of businesses", says Mario Maggiani, Managing Director of Promaplast. "For European plastics and rubber machinery manufacturers, Plast is a strategic showcase for the markets of the Mediterranean, the Middle East and Eastern Europe", says Tobias Baur, President of Euromap, the European association of plastics and rubber machinery manufacturers. The new features of Plast 2029 will be unveiled shortly, from the opening of exhibitor registrations to the satellite shows, and from innovation initiatives to internationalisation projects.
